I have "inherited" this carburetor with a parts engine recently aquired. It is not original for the application and I have never seen one before. A little searching for background has not turned anything up. Any information on this unit would be appreciated (just curious).

Scroll down in the following thread and there are pics of my Brooks with one on it. Quite sure it came from Brooks that way.

My guess is Essex Brass Corporation, Detroit, Michigan, which would make sense with the DuBrie/Gray/Brooks connection as a local supplier. They are still in business and started about 1901, making lubricators, etc.
